Yet when a massive earthquake struck in 1990, the tourism business in Baguio City came to a halt due to the devastation amassed BUT not for Hotel Supreme, of course! They were able to continue operations as the only three-star hotel and come up with multiple ways in welcoming guests and more!
Such acts have resulted in four (4) consecutive years as the Hotel of the Year of Baguio City (1997-2000). The hotel was also presented a “Builders of Baguio” award for its contribution to the city’s economy and employment during the centennial celebration of Baguio City. Even Peter and Ivy Ng, respectively in 1997 and 2006, each received their Outstanding Citizens of Baguio award for their contribution and achievements in the business field.
